A study from the University of Geneva showed a correlation between heavy cell phone use and lower sperm concentration. This study was based on data from 2,886 Swiss men aged 18 to 22, recruited between 2005 and 2018. It was found that sperm concentration is 21% lower in those who use their phone more than 20 times per day compared to those who use it less than once a week.

However, it is important to note that this study shows correlation, not causation. A new study is underway to determine whether electromagnetic waves can influence male reproductive health.

While awaiting the results of this new study, men who wish to maximize their chances of having a child are recommended to exercise, eat a balanced diet and avoid smoking and drinking alcohol.
